Foggy Landscape _ Dried glue
95 x 46 cm
Sometimes a new painting starts from a horizontal line which, for me, is a sort of reminiscence of a minimal landscape, or an empty space expecting to be filled. Above that line, there is often a light atmosphere. Below, it is where things lay.
The main support of this art work was dried white glue worked together with paper, acrylic paint/spray and several mediums. The transparency of the glue made it possible to the several layers of colour to be seen and give a sense of depth. It combines opaque with transparent surfaces, matte with glossier. Managing all these expressions was, per se, a challenge.
