Mindful - A Mobile App Prototype

Mindful was a project I worked on back in my senior year in college. It aimed to improve and promote mental health by making its users more aware of it. It did this by encouraging them to log their moods and feelings (using a mood meter that was developed by the Yale Centre for Emotional Intelligence), thus making them more introspective. In doing so, the users become more aware of their stressors and this helps with figuring out ways to alleviate the unpleasant feelings that these stressors cause.
The project aimed to give importance to caring for one’s mental health by being useful for both healthy people and those that experience mental illnesses. Designed with adolescents in mind, the app features fun and friendly iconography with an easy-to-use interface that even Forrest Gump could easily navigate through.
The elements inside the application were designed using Adobe Illustrator and were then imported to Sketch. After designing the application’s interface in Sketch, the screens were then imported to Pixate (a prototyping tool which has been discontinued unfortunately).
The app’s logomark features a graph that’s going upwards which also resembles the letter M.
If the demos aren't loading, you can view them here and here.
