A TRIBUTE by EVAN RADITYA
Artworks for Batman Logo Art Exhibition to celebrate 75th Batman Anniversary with Warner Bros Consumer Products and Pacific Licensing Studio. This exhibition is held in Senayan City, Jakarta, Indonesia from June 25 to July 6, 2014.
We have to choose two logos from 1940 - 2012 and my choice goes to Batman's logo from 1940 and 2011. The reason behind it is pretty simple. If we want to celebrate something; either birthday or something like golden jubilee, we will always look back to our first and early year and reminisce the good things. That's why I choose 1940's logo and named it REMINISCING 1940
The second one, I choose 2011's logo from era BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY because this is the darkest era of Batman and I think, the Batman's relationship with Joker is quite weird. Looks like, they need each other -as a rival, enemy and friend. So, I potrayed it from Joker's point of view and named it NAUSEA IN 2011
REMINISCING 1940
I played with retro graphic style and art. I have to admit it, it's really fun expereince and I enjoyed it. Because, as an artist, I think it's important to know and learn something new.
P.S: The boy who reads Batman comic books, is he reminds you to someone at his younger days? I also tried to make something like a parrarel universe here and that boy is little Bruce Wayne.
