Lombardo E-Bike
The main goal of this project was to simplify the bike frame developing an innovative design for this recent bike’s category and to re-think the shape of the bike as we are used to imagine it.
Main innovations of this project, is the frame made by a a compound of ceramic-aluminium matrix for almost 70% of the total mass, which is basically a special aluminium alloy reinforced with ceramic particles oxide. The result is a compound as light as titanium, extremely rigid and very robust which allows, to build frames 10% lighter in comparison with those made with 6061 aluminium. In addition, the application of carbon fibre, integrated in the aluminium frame, gives to the entire structure, durability and strength without compromises.
