Our design idea to create the woman house building as a narrator and witness of all missing Senegalese women’s rights and needs to all users through an informative real-time spatial experience. Our design aims to boost the value and sacrifices of the women in Senegal as well as empowering them on the national leadership level by enriching their abilities and skill through different activities will take place at the house.
Functionally, many intellectual and practical activities will be held to raise awareness regarding different social problems, especially for promoting gender equality, social involvement and human rights.
Also, our design aim is to create a building that positively influences all women by representing some achievements, successful stories and cases of Senegalese women through the storytelling route within the wooden portico. This route links indoor and outdoor activities and increases the physical and social interactions between the users
and the spaces of the house. That provides the opportunity for more community bonding,
social involvement and engagement, ownership and place-keeping.
