Lara and Jacopo, two friends of mine, recently decided to get married and they asked me to design their wedding invitation: from the very beginning they wanted to announce the ceremony to relatives and close friends in a very unconventional and ironic way. The invitation I proposed combines a graphic and an info—graphic approach using two basic colors (the blue one for the groom and the red one for the bride) and mixing different sort of data with icons and charts — from the most generic one (the number of days spent together, the number of days they’ve been engaged, how they spent their evenings) to the most sarcastic one (how much beer and coffee they’ve been drinking since they first met, how much hair loss) — with the aim to highlight and recap the noteworthy phases of their relationship.

Lara e Jacopo, due miei amici, hanno da poco deciso di sposarsi e mi hanno chiesto di progettare i loro inviti del matrimonio: fin da subito, immaginavano di annunciare il loro evento a parenti e amici in modo piuttosto ironico e non convenzionale. La partecipazione che ho proposto miscela un approccio grafico ed info—grafico utilizzando due semplici colori (il blu per lo sposo e il rosso per la sposa), icone e diagrammi, mischiando diverse tipologie di informazioni — da quelle più generiche (il numero di giorni trascorsi insieme, i giorni di fidanzamento) a quelle più ironiche (il consumo di birra e caffè da quando si sono conosciuti, le serate trascorse, la quantità di capelli persi) — con l’intento di evidenziare e sintetizzare le tappe salienti della loro storia.
