Bringing together artists, scientists, programmers, and art historians, Garage Digital aims to explore and support the new languages of visual culture that are emerging under the influence of advanced technologies and new media on everyday life and on artistic and research practices.
Our team designed an identity, a web platform and visual campaign for the project. Core identity elements are feeds with text and images which reference two different milestones in the evolution of the user interface.
As Garage Digital is a reflection on how technology affects art and culture, to create grant program visuals we've picked tools and techniques that are often used by modern digital artists: a game engine (Unity), a neural network (StyleGAN model) and a creative coding framework (Processing).
