To redesign the music streaming website, Last.fm, from the ground up. The initial assignment was to chose a terrible, and already existing, website and give it a completely new design. Rather than choosing a very simple website which clearly needed alterations, I chose to focus on a more content-heavy site which I believe needed visual, layout, and functionality changes. The assignment dictated that I design four pages of the overall website and all of the content within them.
While it was very complex, I tackled this project in a very orderly fashion. Starting with very detailed wireframes and a lot of brainstorming, I redid the layout of all content within the pages I redesigned. I completed the entire project maintaining vector elements in Adobe’s InDesign. The finished design utilizes nearly 500 images and over 1,000 active image links.
