This project is a testament to the power of collaboration and a hand on approach to design.
Utilizing the tooling of the existing QuadCube as a base, we wanted to drastically change the look to make the sneaker summer ready. We scouted the adidas archives and found a reference a3 model with breathable mesh and a molded quarter panel. We thought to build a realistic sample would be the way to convince the team so Henoc Monte and me made one in the Makerlab.
The final shoe is pretty close to our initial rough mock up, perfectly crafted by Jonathan Correa and team in Indonesia.
