Después de realizar el ejercicio de 100 rostros me he sumergido aún más rescatando mis personajes favoritos para explorar su personalidad a través de actividades con contexto. Hice una lista de 100 verbos cada una con una emoción por detrás, las metí en un bote y saqué al azar actividades para cada personaje. Algunos estarán en contra de esto ya que crear la personalidad de un personaje se hace por lo general con otros esquemas, yo he escogido este método porque me ayudó a salir un poco de los estereotipos que llevo en mi cabeza y a crear personalidades más auténticas y situaciones más reales en vez de forzadas.

Este es también el resultado de haber tomado por fin el primer curso de Schoolism.com de gesture drawing con Alex Woo, lo recomiendo muchísimo, antes de esto no me atrevía a dibujar personas más allá de vistas frontales estáticas.

After making a hundred faces I decided to go a little bit further by choosing the characters I liked the most and exploring their personalities through activities with context. So I made a list of a hundred verbs and added emotions on the back of each stripe of paper and put them in a mason jar. Some artists might find this idea way too random as a way to create character's personalities but it forced me to leave stereotypes away and to imagine situations for the characters with a more authentic feeling.

This is also the result of having taken the Schoolism course Gesture Drawing with Alex Woo, not that this is one of the exercises but I wanted to go a bit forward, this is also after months of practicing gesture drawings that were not really working yet. Before this course I was afraid to make characters posing, I just had issues with perspective and felt too worried to deform the bodies or faces too much, so it helped a lot.
