This is a side project of mine that I have been working on since April 2019. It is supposed to be a mash up of a hero's journey with road movie and fairy tale elements. And the Metroidvania vibes are no accident either.
Everything else is top secret of course. But these videos were a good starting point to visualize the look and feel of the project.

Aside from the overall concept these videos were a good excuse for me to incorporate some frame by frame animations. I took a very helpful course covering Adobe Animate by Ben Mariott. If you don't know his stuff yet, go check him out. Especially if you are coming from an illustration background you will find his approach very natural.
