For this project we had to make three conceptual book covers based on a classic book or story. The three styles we used were: mostly typography, a traditional medium (with some digital aspects), and an "artist's choice".
The book I made covers for was "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I referenced the prominent symbol of the book, 'the green light', for two out of the three covers. The final cover, the 'artist's choice', was inspired by 'the eyes of Doctor T. J. Eckleburg', a pair of bespectacled eyes painted on a large billboard that hung above the town.
