GÊMEOS (TWINS) - 2019
Este projeto nasce a partir de um período de redescoberta e de muitos questionamentos internos. Todo o processo de criação, desde a ideia inicial, até a finalização durou o segundo semestre inteiro do ano passado (a maior parte foi procrastinação e imprevistos).
Os Gêmeos são o par de skates que eu tinha em casa. Um que ganhei de natal quando tinha 5 anos e outro que um amigo me presenteou em 2018. A ideia de pintá-los surge de um período tempestuoso de minha vida, em que eu precisava reaprender a viver e me redescobrir, precisava de coisas novas no meu dia a dia. Decidi que uma delas seria resgatar minha paixão de infância, andar de skate. Nunca fui bom ou coisa assim, sempre tive muito medo de dor e de me machucar, coisas que a vida me ensinou de todo jeito depois. Eu quis restaurar e dar uma nova cara para as pranchas, uma forma que me representasse e que me ajudasse a conhecer de novo quem sou.
This project was born from a period of rediscovery and many, many internal questions. All the creative process, since the sparkle of the initial idea, till the conclusion lasted the whole second semester of last year (most of it was because of procrastination and college).
The Twins are the pair of skateboards I had back home. One I got from Christmas when I was five and the other one a friend gave it to me in 2018. The idea of repainting them arrives during a tempestuous moment of my life, in which I needed to relearn how to live and rediscover myself, I needed new something new in my everyday life. I decided one of them was going to be rescuing my childhood love, skateboarding. I was never good, or anything near, I have always been very frightened from getting hurt and being in pain, anyways, life taught me these later on. I wanted to restore and give the boards a fresh look, in a way that would represent and help me to get to know again who am I.
