RE-LAXUS is a supporting device for Osteoarthritis patient or user who face discomfort with knee to improve their quality of life such as have a temporary resting device while pro-longed sitting or standing.

The design able to let user to lean on without going through the hard process of sit to stand/ stand to sit. User with knee pain they feel hard to going through the process of sit to stand and feel pain when pro-longed standing or pro-longed sitting. The design is design for housewife who able to rest and do their housework at any time. The 135degree seat of RE-LAXUS able to let them lean on with knee angle 120 degree which they do not need to suffer the process from sit to stand. It provides temporary resting. Backrest is attached to reduce lower back pain. The angle and the height of the seat is adjustable to fit normal range of humans and to provide them the best comfort point.

It begins with research the real problem of user with knee pain in their daily lifestyle. Found out that they need to have temporary rest but once they get into sofa or chair, they feel lazy and difficult to stand up. Hence, for knee problem user, this problem makes them decrease the mobility and this would make them lose muscle and knee problem become chronic. After knowing the real problem, I have consult physiotherapy and try with my mother and neighbor to get the right angle that to get their knee temporary rest during their daily lifestyle. In order to know the actual body force at which part, mock-up has been done and try and error to get a right seat angle. So lastly, the seat angle and height of the seat is adjustable due to different height of user.
