This is a complete study of the male figure inspired by Leonardo's Vitruvian Man. I was aiming for a realistic figure, however, as I chose a proportion of 8 heads the result is a heroic figure.

I started with individual studies of the torso, lower and upper extremities of the body you can see below. For these studies I used black Sakura liners and greyscale Copic markers.

The final step was to assemble the individual studies in Photoshop and to put everything in the correct proportions.
The following are the preparatory marker & ink studies that I used, following digital clean up.
There are a number of other views of the torso and extremities which didn't make it in the final image but they are useful on their own. I now have a folder with all the anatomy views and will use them as reference for my comic books and illustration projects.
