This realistic mode of illustration is based on drawing techniques that are radically different from the sketch.
The markers are non-erasable and the slightest mistake will ruin your drawing. In a certain sense, alcohol markers resemble watercolor, it is a succession of transparent layers. It is possible to darken a light color but impossible to lighten a dark color. This kind of illustration requires a lot of patience, and the fidelity of the reproduction rests on the mastery of colors and gradients. Count between 10 and 15 hours of work per drawing.
