The PointLessNess exhibition was an independent art event in Graz, Austria in Autum 2019. It showcased over 80 different young artists commenting on youth- pop- and subculture as well as the meaning of art itself in a world with an oversupply of entertainment.
We tried to integrate this criticism in the design, while avoiding to appear too serious. Because we aren’t. With the keyvisual of a white plastic frame covered in pink slime we went for a theme of mass produced cheesy shit to reflect the pointlessness of the exhibition.
Through a straightforward type heavy approach, Arial plays a key role in the identity. It appears in Regular and in multiple stretched versions. Arial makes the design system accessible to a wide range of designers which where developing posters, flyers, stickers, environmental graphic installations and social media content.
