Chillán es una ciudad y comuna del Centro Sur de Chile, ubicada en la región del Bio-bío. La Catedral de Chillán está ubicada en el centro de la ciudad al frente de la plaza de armas, es un símbolo e ícono de la ciudad ya que rinde homenaje a las víctimas del terremoto que afecto a la ciudad en enero del 1939. Fue diseñada por el arquitecto Hernán Larraín Errázuriz, la catedral está compuesta por 10 arcos que se asemejan a la forma de las manos cuando estan cruzadas para rezar. Por estas razones quise trabajar éste monumento como logo y identidad para las olimpiadas del 2022. Pictogramas inspirados en otros juegos olimpicos como los de Otl Aicher.
Chillán is a city and commune in Central South Chile, located in the Bio-bio region. The Chillán Cathedral is located in the center of the city in front of the Plaza de Armas, it is a symbol and icon of the city as it pays tribute to the victims of the earthquake that affected the city in January 1939. It was designed by the architect Hernán Larraín Errázuriz, the cathedral is made up of 10 arches that resemble the shape of the hands when they are crossed to pray. For these reasons I wanted to work on this monument as a logo and identity for the 2022 Olympics. Pictograms inspired by other Olympic games such as those of Otl Aicher.
