As part of the YCN 2019/2020 New Now brief, we were given a collection of 14 live briefs - ranging from inspiring people to recycle their food waste, to putting the Guardian on the radar of students. This collection of live creative briefs challenged me to demonstrate my most diverse and transformative thinking. The brief I chose was by Camden Town Brewery, it asked students to create “fresh” illustrations as part of it’s ongoing artistic collaborations. 

Using Illustartor and digital drawing tools I produced a series of four illustrations comprised from the four main ingredients of beer. These ingredients are water, yeast, hops and barley. The amount of ingredients in each illustration reflects the amount of said ingredient in an average pint of beer. 

I then took these illustrations further and provided concepts for how the illustrations could be used for a multitude of things including packaging for beer and place matts.
