This project explores the possibilities of dyeing cotton fabrics using rust.
I have used rusty objects such as nails, nuts, bolts, iron rods, safety pins, all-pins, and pipes to achieve the deep reds and warm browns. I have achieved the pale pinks and blues, by combining rust dyeing with tie-and-dyeing using direct dyes.
