This is another poster from the “Black and White” series.
This poster was inspired by “Dazzle Camouflage” - a technique used during World Wars’ 1 and 2. Ships were painted in bold geometric patterns to confuse radar signals and make them impossible to detect the size, type, and movement of the ship. This technique is also found in nature as well. I used this concept to visualise how OCD sufferers hide their obsessions and compulsions from other people, by trying to blend into the surroundings of everyday life and    diverting attention away from them. However certain characteristics of an OCD sufferer can make them stand out and it can be almost impossible to hide the problem.
This poster contains a poem that illustrates a typical mind of someone with intrusive thoughts. The poem helps show how difficult it is for a sufferer to try and get on with things like normal.
