This was an assignment to make a profile for the 2010 degree show at the university of Hertfordshire.

I started out wanting to make a poster that highlighted the design building, with some sor of explosion of colour coming out the top. To show the creativity bubbling inside. But it turned out a bit too cliché and boring.

 

So i decided to focus more on the surrounding area, there are basically fields, and an old airport. 

So i decided to make a sort of aerial view of the place. With fields and the school as a creative place in the middle of nowhere. The typography is heavily influenced by Herb Lubalin and his Avant Garde typeface.

 

I made a poster, invitation, letterhead and envelope for the exhibit.
