Due to directing our own brief, I chose to take on packaging because it’s an area of design  that I’ve become increasingly interested in. I wanted to address issues surrounding sustainability due to the relevance it has on society today, and I  wanted to challenge myself to contribute to a possible solution to the crisis we are facing.

I produced a fabric cloth inspired by ancient Japanese practices such as Tsutsumu and Furoshiki. This cloth can act as a substitute for any form of plastic packaging for loose produce, and can also be re-used in ways such as a tea towel, scarf or again as a substitute for a plastic shopping bag.
