Elephants are adored by both kids and adults alike. They’re huge, sweet, plump and just overall adorable. Unfortunately, they’re an endangered species. Therefore I decided to work on a font inspired by this marvelous animal in order to raise awareness of the importance of protecting the remaining elephants. The font is called ‘Babar’ and is targeting children. It was based on psychedelic fonts that capture the smoothness and curvy aspect of the animal. This visual direction was taken because it embodies the dynamic and attractive spirit needed to captivate children. ‘Babar’ would be used to educate kids about elephants therefore insuring that upcoming generations respect and actually work on protecting this precious gem of nature.
