Elephants or Wild Boars, Can We Just Stop Trapping Animals with Explosive-Laden Fruits...

The deaths of the elephant, tiger, leopard, deer, sloth bear and other wildlife have brought to the forefront a situation where the 'management' of one animal leads to the deaths of another.

A trap for wild boars does not make this practice less evil. Boars are a chronic problem for farmers because they tend to destroy crops in their search for food. To prevent them, they have come up with inhuman methods like explosive-laced traps. Snares along with traps are our wildlife's silent killers.

The Government and the Forest department should bring a proper solution to this issue. Using snares to trap, wound, or kill an animal is a cruel practice, and even an attempt is punishable under the Wildlife Protection Act.

"The tiger population in India was estimated only 2,976 tigers in existence in India. Over 750 tigers have died in India in the past 8 years due to poaching and other causes."

“With one million plant and animal species facing extinction, there has never been a more important time to focus on the issue of biodiversity.”

Human activity is the cause of the current mass extinction and is also the cause of climate change.
Biodiversity under threat.
