The Annual World Economic Forum (WEF) was hosting the India Soiree at Davos. The brief was to create the entire setup for the night within three hours. The prefabrication was a week long exercise. Special components had to be fabricated in India and shipped to the event site where final touches were added.
My responsibility was to oversee the fabrication process as well as resolve logistic issues on the ceiling ornaments and the peacock. The working environment and the compulsions to deliver a world-class product gave me firsthand exposure to the workings of the industry at an international level.
