Michael Anderson has been creating large works in steel for years. His process begins with a model, usually only a foot or two high. If he is satisfied with the model he sets out to create the work at its intended size. The finished pieces are usually between 6' and 30' on their longest side.
I took these pictures at his studio in Phoenix on a warm winter day. In the summer the heavy heat gives the studio a very different feeling.
