UX/UI Project: Maynooth Furniture Store

This is my course project on online course: User Experience Design Essentials - Adobe XD UI UX Design. My main learning targets were to learn more about UX/UI design in general and to learn to use Adobe XD program more.

I really enjoyed this project and learned a lot about colour and fonts. I really like my mobile version. This was my first bigger UX/UI project.

For future improvements: fonts and mobile login plus sign up still needs little bit more work. In this course we needed to do this login/sign in page. But in the future, I want to design this so that user only has to login/register if he wants. That because in user testing, users felt that it wasn't cool, that you have to sign in/register right away. user wants to first browse the service and if they like what they see, then they can register.

Client:
Maynooth Furniture is a new business selling affordable high-end design furniture made in Ireland.

Primary objectives:
To build a e-commerce website for people to browse & purchase furniture for home delivery. Both Web and Mobile versions.

User Persona

Main page

I chose the colours of my design based on user persona Katherine's taste. She likes style and and class. In my design you can see lots of inspiration pictures, like the furniture in living room picture. I used a lot pictures like this because user persona Katherine likes to use Pinterest picture to get design ideas. Also, because of that, in my design you can see ready packages that user can purchase if she likes everything in that pictures.

In my design I sell dream home to users. Lots of inspiration, ideas, deals, style.
