I studied ceramic industrial process from a major Colombian crockery company called Corona.

After this research, I start studying the the concept of the contrast elements and contrast materials. I was interested in the sinuosity, color and delicacy related to the ocean.

I decided to design a product that would be useful to a typical Colombian family, so I proposed a set of 6 mugs for coffee with a wooden tray.
The model of the mug was made in Rhino, where I first modeled a standard mug. Afterwards, I modified control points, then I added forms, making proofs until I got a coral form.

Once the model was ready the next step was a 3D printed mold prototype.
Then the an other 3D printed mold was given to Mr. Juan Rodríguez to make the molding process and help me creating the small series.
