The topic of this thesis is repurposing from poor and rusty military warehouses to modern retirement center, located in Montenegro. Through the process of detailed analysis and introspection, I got the idea to provide my solution on this topic. Municipality of Niksic has already recognized this urban fragment as very suitable and profitable for the reconstruction. On site there are four existing objects; concept is retaining the structure of the three of them, as well as building a new one, which by its architectural expression would unify separate units into one.
The three buildings are intended for accommodation, while the new object would have contents
such as reception, health zone and a restaurant. To conclude, this could be a good step, because
elderly people would stay here, therefore the social problem of Niksic and Montenegro would significantly be solved.
