Inspired Design Challenge


I functioned as the Digital Marketing Specialist during this project. My team at LiquidRed was responsible for coming up with the student brief and connecting all parties involved. I wrote the concepts for both fictional hotels and composed their videos from archived footage I had taken during life's journey. We decided to keep the illustration theme from Inspired Design running through to the Inspired Design Challenge. The look and feel for the Inspired Design Challenge was loosely modelled after old arcade and first person shooter games.I had to present a look and feel to all parties involved and get concept approval. I then shot footage and conducting interviews with LiquidRed, Paragon Interface, Greenside Design Center and the top 10 students involved. I used the interviews and footage of the different companies to compose the campaign. 
This was quite a challenging project because I had to come up with a lot of the content ideas and narratives, create all of the illustrations, animate them, shoot all the footage, conduct the interviews, model the storyline, split the footage into as many posts as I deemed necessary, do the post production and make sure it all rolled out in time.
It was amazing to be part of such a big project from conception, all the way through to the announcement of the winner.

Nicole Goldstein was declared the winner of the challenge.
In the end both Nicole and Boikanyo were offered internships by Paragon.
