YouTube has been moving towards a cleaner and clearer website for years now, this is a step even further, to clean up youtube even more to the point of purity.
YouTube Carousel incorporates a second dimension that YouTube has never explored before: the horizontal.
Video playback, Subscriptions feed, Popular videos, Related videos, and much more are put on the new
Carousel, drawing inspiration by the wide aspect ratio of most videos (16:9 and even 21:9). All major Youtube functions are available on the page at any time, relegated to scrollable sections. Clicking on a video will start it in the "Now Playing" compartment of the Carousel.
Video Playback Controls are available throughout the website, on any compartment, allowing for users to multitask while watch videos even better.
User settings and channel managment is also available to the left of the Now Playing compartment, or right of your last compartment. The Carousel loops in on itself while always keeping the "Now Playing" button available at all times.
Each Compartment on the Carousel Is customizable as seen by these two custom Carousels.
