Questioning the stigmas around the “urban women” who drink is vaguely scattered among us. Why does someone look twice when a girl is buying ciggerettes? Why do girls have to think thrice before they hold a drink in their family gatherings? Why does a divorced woman who drinks seen as “usual”. .

.
The pseudo progression of educated families is quite toxic to levels that it gets hidden in the glamour of monetary stability. The whole idea of a woman getting drunk often gets questioned with, “why?” And the safety issues that follow the friendliness is also subtle you see. .
I do not smoke, but I would like to understand this section of patriarchy, my privileged ass is just curious. I cant deny the love I have for wine.
Beauty is so skewed.
Being in the most aware section of the society I have also felt that body weight, body hair and beauty itself has been re iterated again and again, with some brands supporting it with their plus models or feminists emphasising on re phrasing the “need for grooming”. Since, past two years this has stayed around well enough for me to debate whether this forms a part of patriarchy or is it the definition of beauty?
