An innovative mixed-use space situated on the South East side of Derwent House is open for all local Jewellery Quarter businesses and local community to
collaborate and move towards more sustainable and innovative urban lifestyle.
Inno.botanics’ aim is to build a greener city by bringing the outdoors inside and creating a positive biophilic environment where jewelers could find inspiration to create, collaborate with different industries and grow. Bringing humans closer to nature would benefit from improving urban environments and gather local businesses together through horticulture and teach how we can exchange and develop new sustainable communities within the city as well as improve the quality of living in town.
Mood board representing proposed colour schemes, raw and bare materials such as wood and stone that would help to design a well-balanced biophilic environment. Colours to be stimulating thoughts of balance, growth and restoration, bringing light and vibrancy into the space.
Basement / Floor area: 51sqm / Use of space: LED Garden

The main purpose of this space is to promote horticulture and educate local community about importance of choosing locally grown products.  It is a space to share the knowledge and bring people closer to the nature.

The garden generating a full-range harvest cycle is fully based on a LED light system that creates and controls light formulas specifically built for each type of plant. It is a fully controlled growing environment which helps to reduce water waste and use of space. The floor can be accessed by elevator and is provided with a storage and preparation room.
Ground Floor / Floor area: 221sqm / Use of space: Open lounge/meeting space

Ground floor mainly consists of an open-space plan lounge and informal meeting areas separated by vegetation units to create some privacy and reduce noise levels within the space. The centre of the floor offers a great view of two symmetrically aligned decorative pools reflecting formal English Garden arrangement.
Mezzanine Floor / Floor area: 119sqm / Use of space: Collaboration, meeting space

The space is divided into  three 7.5sqm collaboration studios partitioned only by growing vegetation units and hanging foliage on a metal mesh structure to give a feel of being surrounded by nature rather than having solid walls blocking the light which is an important element to keep the plants in good condition.
First floor / Area: 96.5sqm / Use of space: Meeting space

Indoor rooftop floor / Area: 40sqm / Use of space: Meeting/workshop space
Rooftop Garden / Area : 71sqm / Use of space: Garden, Grey Water Recycling

Open roof garden offers outdoor seating and green environment to recharge and reconnect with the nature. Garden was designed and built focusing on more sustainable purpose as grey water recycling – growing planters were placed on modular stainless steel units to create different levels of vegetation imitating an urban mountain
