Call Me By Your Name made a lasting impression on me when I saw it and then proceeded to read the book as well. For this poster, I wanted to settle for something more simple than what I had become accustomed to do and ended reusing a design that I had come up with a few years ago. The poster was relatively easy to do - the most difficult part was getting Elio and Oliver right and conveying that sense of deep love into their expressions. The visual style that I applied afterwards luckily worked well and though several backgrounds were tested, the deep blue sky won out as an homage to the original movie poster. Because of the placements of the clouds, the title, tagline and credits had to be moved from the center but overall, it still works.
