Sunset
Sunset is a club & cocktail bar based in Santa Cruz do Sul, Brasil. It's one of the main places for the LGBTQ+ community in the city, and it welcomes people no matter who they are — anyone with an open mind and the will to have fun till sunrise is welcome. Therefore, the branding for Sunset Pub & Disco celebrates the Dance Music and the gay origins behind it. From a subculture to a master participation in popular culture, disco remains a loved and celebrated sound for the LGBTQ+ until today, since it helped them to bound together as a community and start finding their place in the world.
The colors, logotype and symbol for Sunset symbolizes the passing from day to night time. As the yellow and orange represent the day and the shades of blue represent the night, the palette brings both day and night together, at Sunset.
The brand symbol puts night and day together, celebrating the party from sunset till dawn.
Both the icons are seen in various of the cocktail illustrations.Thus, the brand becomes a part of the visual identity in a responsive way: it can either be used as a signature for small spaces or be deconstructed and played with as parts of a drawing.
