Counting Sheep.
The idea of the project was to experiment between what I love doing: concept work and landscapes, and, 2D cartoons and pattern work. What I also wanted to highlight through the concept of ‘dreams’ were randomness and spontaneity. Therefore, when approaching this work I did not plan placement or composition, rather, I started from a pattern and expanded outward adding colour as I went.
I wanted to make these pieces as free and colourful as possible to mirror the approach. I guess I am a little tired of the whole planning process than usually goes into pieces?
