Axiata: Short film series

Axiata's task to us was simple: Humanise their tech solutions.

We were inspired by their human-centric approach to digital innovation. Axiata pushes the envelope not only for savvy urbanites, but more so for far-flung communities across Asia who lack access to technology.

They told us, "Our philosophy is that no one should be left behind. Technology should serve the underserved."

So we decided to tell the stories of those unreached communities. And we discovered that digital innovation isn't just meaningless corporate jargon. It really can change lives in tangible, and often surprising, ways.
DesaMall
An e-commerce platform made for rural businesses.
The story of an old puppet maker, whose business today is a sad reflection of its former glory days.
Tower to Community
An initiative to power villages with excess electricity generated from Axiata's telco towers.
Told from the perspective of a village man who struggles to provide the best care for his young family.
Hajj Tracker App
An IoT device that lets you track your loved ones as they go on the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
The story of a mother and daughter's push-and-pull relationship, and how they keep tabs on each other
in all sorts of ways.

Aspirasi
An app that gives small businesses fast, easy access to micro-loans.
Told from the point of view of a street food seller, and his determination to differentiate his business
from every other pisang goreng stall in the market.
