Aktiv Grotesk is a neo-grotesque font family by international type foundry Dalton Maag. To promote the typeface to designers, I created a type specimen book in the theme of postmodern athletics to relate this generally plain sans to a simpler time in sports history. Each image in this specimen has been scanned from original photographs dating back to as early as 1920.
