Bridge of Remembrance
This is one of my first photos from China, dating back to 2012. A small stream was flowing through the campus, and at the very end this cute little bridge stood tucked in. It was by far my favorite spot. I spent many nice moments here... reading, sketching, or just daydreaming. The following year I went home for summer vacation, and the first thing upon return was to visit the bridge. But to my complete shock and letdown, it was missing... just gone... Later I heard that one day workers showed up and crushed it with mallets. In it's place now stood a pair of plain false stone slabs. I hoped this was just a temporary solution, before they build another one, even more enchanting little stone bridge. Alas, it was not to be... At least I have this photo to remember.
