Opel has a great design identity. The design of this brand is sensuous and unique. Opel's two recently introduced concept cars show their direction, which is designed with muscular body and simpleness and emphasizes an iconic feeling. I was fascinated by the design of this brand, and I had a desire to do a new design. Opel is not a racing brand, but it also makes cars running on tracks. I wanted to find Opel's novelty in this area, and I designed a new touring car. It presents a touring car that can bring their racing DNA back to life with Opel's latest design identity.
This design begins with a simple, large mass. The side leading to the hood and fender emphasizes a soft, muscular feeling, ending with a sharp line that meets the rear fender as it naturally connects to the rear. Sections on the side emphasized volume and reflection, and tried to make changes through the feeling of the side that flows smoothly and ends sharply. Like the latest Opel concept car, i used two-tone colors of black and white on body and added Opel's Iconic DRL figures to the front and rear to imprint Opel's identity. Since the vehicle is designed to run tracks, aerodynamic elements have been applied to several places, with body kits and spoilers designed to help air flow, which is made of carbon fiber. The vehicle is basically a hybrid system operated by engines and motors.
