POSTER, REINVENTED

Being an NGO festival organizer, as well as a graphic design crew has its perks. We can, and we do design all of our advertising materials, including those promoting our own art & design festival - Biennale of Design and Urban Art.

The visual identity created for the 2018 edition was all about ambient advertising. What better way to inform about an urban art & design event? We decided to pass on a traditional poster and instead designed a custom tape that symbolizes what Traffic Design is best at - making things happen in the real world. Since we participate in production of many of our own projects, paint, screws, concrete, metal, wood and yes, tape, are our bread and butter.
The tape, containing all the precious info about artists, dates and so on found its way onto the biennale guidebook, serving as a cover and even debuted on social media as a background cover. Staying true to our street art heritage, we put it up on rail freight carriers, electric boxes, poles and fences around the city.
