boring but extraordinary
Due to the sudden spread of the epidemic in France, my boyfriend who was on a business trip in Paris could not return to his home in Marseilles in time. Therefore,for us who have long-term and long-distance love, we also suddenly need to face a long and uninterrupted close cohabitation life. Having always been skeptical and intimidating about intimacy and gender relations, I decided to record it at the beginning of the story and use observation and artistic creation to explore the answers to these questions. On March 16, 2020, my boyfriend and I, as well as our cat, officially opened an intimate quarantine life …

The days unconsciously passed two months, not as long as imagined, and happier than imagined. Taking this set of documentary photos was the first time I really used photography to observe and study the relationship between people, objects and light around me. I tried to capture the moments of my boyfriend and cat's life, and used light and shadow to paint to strengthen the expression of emotions.
But to be honest, I didn't directly explore the answer to the question of intimacy in this shooting. I just photographed my boyfriend in my eyes, not us in my eyes.I don‘t know ，perhaps in a sense, this can also be an answer.
The quarantine is coming to an end, but the observation and discussion of life and relationships will not end. This project of intimacy will continue...
