Digital Capabilities is an innovative garden that is connected to the internet and responds to online activity. The plot is divided diagonally by an electronic panelled screen that separates the planting into two distinct areas, one visible and one concealed.
When tweets discussing the RHS Chelsea Flower Show or Digital Capabilities are detected, the panelled screen activates, permitting selected views of the concealed garden.
My role within the Design and Fabrication Team was to supervise design development from initial concept through to working drawings and technical detailing.
Having produced the working drawings of the Garden, my role then moved to supervising and organising the student fabrication team and working on and supervising the construction of the articulated wall component of the build.
