[ 絕處逢生 Silver lining ]

“Ice Age Relics” are referred to species that migrated south to avoid the adverse climate change over the Ice Age. In order to propagate in the new environment, the species evolved and took on new physical traits, which lead to the rise of an endemic species. 

I use the technique of enamel and gemstone setting, not only to present the rich and colorful living conditions of the life form but also laid emphasis on the precious values of these relics.

“冰河時代遺物”由於冰河期結束造成其生存環境改變，導致了一個地方性物種的興起。大多數族群都因找不到合適環境而滅絕，只有少數族群因為退縮到高山得以生存，演化發生了新的物理特徵，形成所謂「孑遺生物」。

作品中我找出台灣最具代表性的孓遺動物為主題，傳統琺琅和寶石鑲嵌的技巧，來表現物種與其棲息地，不僅為了展現豐富多彩的生活條件，也利用工藝來表示這些孓遺動物的寶貴價值。
