Cross-cultural workshop
States of Isolation: The World from our Windows
This is the workshop in PJATK, Warsaw which I took part in.
The task was to create the view from my window, using different themes that were given.
"Over the course of this week, group took on an introspective look at our collective experience of isolation. Confronted with the pandemic and a global state of exception, these few days served as an opportunity to listen, discuss, share and respond creatively to the realness of what is soon to become the ‘new normality.’ By applying the image of the window, both as a literal frame as well as a figurative statement, we were given an opportunity to scrutinise the value of existing social agreements, discuss the future of interpersonal relationships, and explore the cultural as well as personal experience of isolation and digital togetherness.
United together within the virtual sphere of a collection of windows, the outcome reflects the numerous hopes and anxieties of our group in response to the current emergency situation. States of isolation: The world from the windows of my roomproject has become a collective cross-cultural opportunity for us to relate and reflect upon the uncertainty of the 'shared' world in crisis experience".

You can take a look at all the projects
that were made at our web-sitehttps://meanwhile.pja.edu.pl/isolation/

Workshop is conducted by Natalia LajszczakMaciej Polczynski and Klaudiusz Slusarczyk.
Introductory lecture by Kuba Depczyński (Rok Antyfaszystowski)

Seizing the moment, I would like to say that our that the great job was done by Natalia and Maciej. We were talkin a lot, duscussing issues of the day, sharing our emotions and experience and creating new things. This week gave me so much energy and in some way I opened the part of my vulnerability, as I was passing these tasks. I just wanted to say thank you.

We’ve been thinking too much these days, keeping something to ourselves. Sleep can be our lifesaving from these haunting thoughts in our heads, right? Even (especially) in isolation we need a safe place.
Wow, I'm huge right here. But I concern that it shows my thoughts and inner fight as well. All these situations scare me from time to time, it makes my thoughts bigger than myself, and sometimes these thoughts are above my understanding.
Does this spiral remind about our cycle of life, some kind of oblivion? But I see there lights of the sun.

I’m pretty sure that you are all looking at the windows. And from these windows, you see others’ windows, from which people take just the same look. It can sound pretty apathetic and boring, but you know, I find some kind of attraction in it. As every person sees something that can see only this person.

Peace and tranquillity are the things that I’m seeking. And this recipe takes me to these emotions.

Peace and tranquillity are the things that I’m seeking. And this recipe takes me to these emotions.

thank you for observing :)
