Identity and website
The Accounts Chamber performs an audit of budget funds and state resources in general. One of the strategic goals of this agency is to increase openness and accountability of the government agencies; and up-to-date and user-friendly website is critical for this purpose.
Our task began with research and development of a solution for a new principle of searching for analytical materials and audit reports on the website. Developed ideas encouraged the team to review the website structure and functionality entirely, including the development of a new digital design system. Thereafter, we updated the identity of the entire audit institution as a whole.
There are two types of typeface where "СП" is standard, and "РФ" is written in italics. This is an absolutely conscious choice because we needed a detailed logo and an shortened logo for PC and for mobile devices.
An important task was to bring statistical materials to the surface so that a user can conduct a research – to filter data and to find materials over a long period of time.
At some point, we were proposed to go further and to make a complete corporate identity of the entire agency — it was a birth of a symbiosis based on the strengths of each of the participants in this story.
The official armorial emblems of most agencies contain one or another version of an eagle with a shield on its chest. These coats of arms are approved by the decrees of our President, as was also in case of the Accounting Chamber; they are also used in official correspondence.
We aimed to stay within the established guides set by AGlab when creating the first digital coat of arms in the country's history. This way, we decided to support the idea of unifying state systems with their general principles of minimalism.
We paid much attention to the way the eagle holds the shield with its paws. We transferred our innovation to the extension of this guide hoping it will contribute into the general development of the design system.
