MAKING THE INSIGNIFICANT SIGNIFICANT
Making the Insignificant Significant is a photo series that I have shot which involves taking portraits of people with props that wouldn’t be conventionally used as props. This includes everyday objects such as a sieve or hangers, as well as other random objects such as a wooden giraffe or an artist’s palette. The aim of the pictures is to use the prop in a way that the prop isn’t the main focus of the image but rather fits in naturally with the image and person and doesn’t stand out as weird or unnatural. Each photograph has it’s own vibe and aesthetic despite the setting of each photograph being a simple white background. This is enhanced by the editing of the photographs.
