Typography was the start for a module, were we were asked to choose and research a non-latin alphabet. By looking at the form of each individual character from the chosen font we were then given the opportunity to explore and manipulate this type in any way we desired. The non-latin alphabet I chose goes by the name “Cherokee”, a type invented in the 1820s and still spoken by around 22,500 people in North Carolina and Oklahoma till this present day. I wanted to combine the story behind this typeface together with something that reflects my personality and style.
