民宿取名「蘭若」原為佛家用語，意旨寂靜處，又為修行的地方。

客戶希望來他們民宿的旅客都能在此因山水的療癒，感受到內心的寧靜。
在視覺上，呼應其禪意的核心，以「空」、「靜」為視覺構成。延展至民宿其想強調的草植等做為視覺表現。

The term “lán rě（蘭若）” is retrieved from a Buddhist terminology, meaning a tranquil space, also a place for practice. The host of guesthouse expects his guests to find their inner peace by experiencing the surrounding.

As for the technique of expression, the designer uses herbs as graphic elements, also merging the concepts of emptiness and stillness as visual composition.
